This venue on Percy Street is one of a handful of London branches of Sagar, a chain of South Indian veggie restaurants. It’s a really good reasonably priced veggie restaurant with loads of choices on the menu, including regular curries and also a range of other dishes as well.

We had homemade lemonade, bhel puri, a masala dosa, an uthappam, followed by almond kulfi and payasam. The dosa was stuffed with potato and vegetables and the uthappam came studded with onion, tomato and coconut. Both came with smabar and a cocnut chutney. Both were great, the uthappam probably just has the edge. Almond kulfi was ok, although in my book not as tasty as pistachio flavour. The payasam was excellent though, a milk vermicelli pudding flavoured with nuts and cardomoms.

This came to £25 not including service. Will definitely be back.
